Families Helping Families Program Rewards Employees for Referring New Team Members

ROSEVILLE, Calif., – Paramount Equity® awarded 51 employees with $151,700 through its Families Helping Families (FHF) employee referral program for 2012. The program was created in 2011 to encourage employees to recruit friends and family members to the Paramount Equity family of companies: Paramount Equity Mortgage®, Paramount Solar™, and Paramount Equity Insurance Services®. Employees have the opportunity to build a “family tree” of their referrals that join as team members and are rewarded with monetary bonuses at year-end. To encourage the success of their referrals, bonuses are given based on successful sales levels, as well as any additional team members the original referral brings aboard and their subsequent sales success.

Paramount Equity Rings in the New Year with Executive Additions
New CFO and Solar Engineering Executive Adds to Fast-Growing Team

ROSEVILLE, Calif., – Paramount Equity® is welcoming two executive additions to their growing businesses: Matt McGovern as the CFO of Paramount Equity and Helmut Gehle as the vice president of solar products, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for Paramount Solar. 

Matt McGovern brings a wealth of experience in the financial and solar businesses to the Paramount Equity team. For the past three years, McGovern served as CFO of Gehrlicher Solar America Corp, a systems integration firm focused on the commercial and utility solar industry. From 2001 to 2008, McGovern worked at the SBI Group, an international investment bank. McGovern holds a master's degree in organizational behavior and a doctorate in organizational development from the College of Organizational Studies at CSPP. As the CFO of Paramount Equity, he will run the financial arm for all of Paramount Equity’s business units.

Paramount Equity Adds Guthy-Renker Executives to Board of Directors
Companies Celebrate First Year of Partnership with Additional Investment and Plans for Future Growth

ROSEVILLE, Calif., – Paramount Equity® is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its partnership with the world’s largest direct marketing company, Guthy-Renker, by welcoming three of the company’s top executives to the Paramount Equity Board of Directors.

Markus Wilhelm, CEO of Strata Solar, will serve as the chairman of the Paramount Equity board. Ben Vandebunt, Guthy-Renker CEO, and Kevin Knee, Guthy-Renker vice chairman and CFO, have also joined as board members. In addition, Georg Richter, Guthy-Renker president and COO, will participate in an active role to build an operational infrastructure for national scale. The addition of these board members is coupled with an additional investment from Guthy-Renker in Paramount Equity’s lines of businesses.

Paramount Equity Mortgage Expands Sales Division
Local company continues to grow staff and open new branches

(ROSEVILLE, Calif.) – Paramount Equity Mortgage, a Roseville-based company committed to saving its customers money, has expanded their sales and management team to accommodate an aggressive expansion plan.

Over the past 12 months, Paramount Equity Mortgage has opened six new branches, increased their sales staff by 37%, and added 67 new jobs company wide.   This expansion includes the opening of California branches in Santa Rosa, Irvine, Napa and Walnut Creek.  They also opened an additional branch in Vancouver, Washington. This growth is expected to continue throughout 2012 and into 2013 as the company expands nationwide.

Hayes Barnard details Young Entrepreneurs Scholarship (Y.E.S) Program

In February, our CEO, Hayes Barnard launched the Hayes Barnard-Paramount Equity Young Entrepreneur Scholarship, or Y.E.S., for inspiring young business students. This scholarship will grant one lucky recipient a $12,000 college scholarship that will be paid directly to the recipient’s college or university.

Hayes wanted to do something to help lend a hand to entrepreneurial students with a vision to, “Go big,” says Barnard. Hayes was inspired to create the Y.E.S. Scholarship through his own experience. Raised by a single mother on a teacher’s salary, he and his mother, Diane, worked together to pay for Hayes’ college tuition.

SEATTLE - Eighteen lenders have been selected to participate in a new two-year pilot program that will offer qualified borrowers living in certain parts of the country low-cost loans to make energy-saving improvements to their homes. Backed by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), these new PowerSaver loans will offer homeowners up to $25,000 to make energy-efficient improvements of their choice, including the installation of insulation, duct sealing, replacement doors and windows, HVAC systems, water heaters, solar panels, and geothermal systems.

PARAMOUNT EQUITY BUILDS SCHOOLHOUSE IN AFRICA
Team returns from Mali after breaking ground and starting construction

(ROSEVILLE, Calif.) - Five executive team members from Paramount Equity just returned from the West African country of Mali, where they broke ground on a children's schoolhouse that they raised money to build.

The team consisted of Paramount Equity co-owners Hayes Barnard and Matt Dawson, Executive Vice President of Operations Michele Magee, Vice President of Sales Matt Hurych and Executive Administrative Assistant Kathryn Johnson. The group spent eight days in Mali, living and working amongst the villagers. The schoolhouse, which will be completed in two months, will educate 150 children at a time and is built to last for at least 20 years.

A hopping good time was had by all at Shriners Hospital for Children - Northern California. As a special Easter surprise, 27 employees from Mortgage Operations at Paramount Equity Mortgage held a "Build a Bunny" party for Shriners patients and their families. The Spring Event took place Wednesday April 1st in the hospitals central activity area. Festivities included a Build a Bear project, an ice cream social, and a special musical performance by singer/songwriter and Paramount employee, David Zaragoza.
