As a partner with Keller Williams Real Estate in Vancouver, WA we were fortunate to be included in their annual Community Service Day – Red Day. It is short for Renew, Energize and Donate and every Keller Williams office across the nation participates by taking the day off and giving back to their communities.
The project this year was helping to refurbish and renovate the home of a fourth-generation veteran, James “Mike” Curry. The project list included landscaping, interior and exterior painting and overall upgrades throughout the home.
As a valued partner with Keller Williams, the Paramount Equity team participated in the day and helped the KW family in this wonderful project. The gesture of giving back is genuine and led by the heart: we are grateful to have what we have and want to help others. We are thankful to work for a company that allows employees to receive paid volunteer time in which we can participate in events like this. We are profoundly moved by our time in taking part in the day – this homeowner gave his time in the military and endured physical challenges. His humble attitude allowed us to appreciate his sacrifices and give back to him in a way that enables him to have a better home for himself and his children.
There is also a momentum that is generated in the day….we begin with over one hundred red-shirted volunteers, plus generous time and resources by vendors. As everyone begins to dig in to work, the energy, laughter and love are contagious! Everyone is helping everyone. At the end of the day we are tired but smiling!
A great way to spend the day!
